Join Our Team of Range Safety Officers

United Revolver Club of Sacramento is responsible to provide qualified Range Safety Officers (RSO) to supervise the sport shooting at the James Mangan Rifle & Pistol Range on Monday and Thursday, public nights and Tuesday night members only. URCS and the volunteer RSO's support the city by staffing the range to help offset the operating cost, keeping the range fees down and the range open to the public.

 

URCS is always looking for qualified RSO's to volunteer, the qualifications and requirements needed:

 

  • Willing to keep the range SAFE.
  • Must be a current member in good standing of the URCS.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Must be a member of the NRA
  • Must be a NRA certified RSO.
  • Must serve 18 nights a year.
  • Willingness to assist shooters and provide instruction to promote marksmanship.

 

Training

 

  • Must successfully pass the NRA RSO course, provided locally.
